Hannah Cho - VIOLIN

PROFILE

Violinist Hannah Cho joined the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in 2025, bringing her expressive playing and collaborative spirit to one of the world’s distinguished orchestras.

Hannah has appeared in solo recitals, concertos, and chamber performances across Europe, North America, and Asia. She began violin studies at the age of three, made her concerto debut at twelve, and gave her recital debut at the Berlin Philharmonie in 2020. She received prizes at the Michael Hill, Schoenfeld, Schadt, and Aspen competitions and has taken part in other international competitions such as Queen Elisabeth, Paganini, Sibelius, and Indianapolis.

She holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School (Cho-Liang Lin, Masao Kawasaki, Joel Smirnoff) and completed Professional Studies at the Manhattan School of Music (Sylvia Rosenberg, Nicholas Mann). Further studies include the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra Academy, the Stauffer Center Concertmaster Artist Diploma, and masterclasses across Europe.

Her playing is recognized for clarity, warmth, and musical insight.
